When Michael Sheen and David Tennant’s Angel and Demon be back for more adventures?

Good Omens season 3 has been a long time coming, but its future has been put into question after author Neil Gaiman was accused of sexual assault.
A Vulture report detailed new accusations from eight women against the author, including four who previously spoke out to Tortoise Media.
Gaiman’s representatives denied various claims in the Vulture report. When contacted by RadioTimes.com, Gaiman’s representatives declined to comment but the novelist has now firmly denied any non-consensual or illegal conduct in a statement to his blog.
He began by saying that he had “stayed quiet until now, both out of respect for the people who were sharing their stories and out of a desire not to draw even more attention to a lot of misinformation”.
Gaiman continued: “I’ve now reached the point where I feel that I should say something.
“As I read through this latest collection of accounts, there are moments I half-recognise and moments I don’t, descriptions of things that happened sitting beside things that emphatically did not happen.
“I’m far from a perfect person, but I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone. Ever.
“Some of the horrible stories now being told simply never happened, while others have been so distorted from what actually took place that they bear no relationship to reality.”

The latest Good Omens update before this was that the show is set to end with one 90-minute finale episode, with Gaiman exiting the series.
Gaiman contributed to writing the finale but he will not be working on the production and his production company Blank Corporation will not be involved. A new writer is expected to finish the work, according to Deadline.

Good Omens season 3 release date speculation
There’s no confirmed release date for the Good Omens finale episode just yet, but we’re not expecting it any earlier than late 2025/early 2026.
We do know that filming will begin in Scotland in 2025, as confirmed by Prime Video.
In December 2023, Good Omens was officially renewed for season 3.
Amazon MGM Studios head of television said Vernon Sanders said: “The final season is sure to be packed with the same dynamic energy that our global customers have come to enjoy.”

What will the plot of Good Omens season 3 be?
The finale episode of Good Omens will pick up after Aziraphale and Crowley went their separate ways at the end of season 2.
The episode will follow events discussed decades ago between Gaiman and Sir Terry Pratchett about what would happen next for the characters.
Fans will also be deleted to hear that Tennant has teased more romance between Aziraphale and Crowley in season 3, telling Michelle Visage on the BAFTA red carpet: “Well, you don’t know how many we’ve got lined up for series 3. I mean, neither do I to be honest but, you know.”
The final scenes of season 2 saw Crowley kissing Aziraphale and the shocked angel deciding to return to heaven without the demon. A split-screen ending shows the pair unhappily going their separate ways.
Good Omens star Maggie Service, who played a new character called Maggie in season 2, told RadioTimes.com of that ending: “Where we end, I think, is so beautifully written because none of it’s tied up in a bow, none of it’s Hollywood magic. It’s real within fantasy – and what is going to happen next?”
Good Omens cast – who will be back for season 3?
Of course, you can’t have Good Omens season 3 without Michael Sheen as Aziraphale and David Tennant and Crowley.
However, beyond the central duo, it’s hard to know who of the Good Omens cast could be back for a third season. The second season saw a major cast shake-up, with some stars returning, others leaving, some staying on but in different roles, and some new cast members joining.
The most likely returnees would seem to be Jon Hamm as Gabriel and Shelley Conn as Beelzebub (although even they are uncertain after Conn took over the role from Anna Maxwell Martin).

One person who won’t be returning is director Douglas Mackinnon, who confirmed his exit from the show ahead of the renewal.
Mackinnon has directed all episodes of the David Tennant and Michael Sheen series to date, and has been heavily involved in the production of the show.
However, after sharing a photo of the Good Omens set on Instagram, Mackinnon confirmed in the comments: “I’m not involved with this show anymore.”
